This is a non-surgical treatment for the submental fat, or fat underneath the chin. It is administered in a series of injections. It uses deoxycholic acid to target and kill the fat cells. After the fat cells are destroyed, the body will naturally eliminate them.
The treatment is customized to the individual patient’s needs. The injections are placed in specific submental areas, for each patient.
This is an in-office procedure. You will have a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort. You may have mild swelling following the procedure. Bruising is possible but temporary and can be easily covered with makeup.
