Clear + Brilliant

How does it work?

Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser that uses fractional technology to refresh your skin from the inside out. The laser energy creates millions of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin. This will target the early signs of aging; improve texture, decrease pigment, and brightness.

What is the treatment like?

Prior to your treatment you have the option of having a cosmetic consultation to discuss Clear + Brilliant with one of our physicians. You will have photographs taken for your chart and topical anesthetic applied. You will numb for approximately 20 minutes and the procedure takes about 30 minutes.

What areas/concerns can be treated with the Clear + Brilliant?

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Age spots/sunspots (pigmented lesions)
  • Brown patches
  • Enlarged pores
  • Improve texture

What should I expect after the treatment?

During the first 24 hours after the treatment, your skin may feel as though it is lightly sunburned. Most redness fades within a few days. If the treatment is for brown sunspots you will bronze over the next several days and you may have a “sandpaper” texture. You will be able to use a mild moisturizer to minimize the dryness. If you are being treated for brown spots we recommend using hydroquinone right away. You will be able to wear makeup and go about your normal activities the same day as your procedure.

Are there any side effects?

Swelling and redness are the most common and are generally expected. They are typically minimal and subside within a day or two. Other temporary side effects may include minor itching, peeling, and bronzed skin. There is also a limited risk of infection, hyperpigmentation (dark spots), or scarring. We will provide you with a complete list of instructions about everything you need to do following the procedure to reduce any chance of an adverse reaction. We are committed to providing you with best care and optimal results.

What precautions should I take after the Clear + Brilliant?

You should wear a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher daily. An anti-viral, such as Valtrex, will be prescribed and should be taken for one week.

How many treatments are recommended?

Every patient is different, so it depends on individual needs to determine how many treatments are needed to achieve the desired results. We recommend the package of five to get optimal results and these treatments can be done every two weeks.
