The Pearl is a resurfacing laser that gently and safely treats signs of aging and damaged skin. A pattern of light pulses treats both the top layer and deeper layers of the skin, providing long-term benefits with minimal downtime. This unique ablative resurfacing laser is designed to target superficial skin imperfections such as sunspots, fine lines and wrinkles, and non-pitted acne scars.
After an initial consultation, our doctors will determine if treatment with the Pearl would be appropriate. The procedure will take 15-30 minutes. To ensure patient comfort during the procedure, a topical anesthetic is applied 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to procedure.
Results are noticeable by day 3 or 4 when the superficial tissue has peeled off, revealing healthy skin improvements. Make-up may be applied at this time. Redness, swelling, and light peeling are common after the treatment with 3-4 days of social downtime. Our staff will discuss post care with you at your consultation.
Many patients may need only one treatment, however individual results may vary and number of treatments will be determined with your physician.
