Juvéderm Volbella is a safe injectable gel that is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). It is customized with a specific concentration that makes it a soft, smooth gel appropriate for adding subtle volume to the lips and softening the appearance of perioral lines (lines around the mouth) that lasts up to one year.
This is a quick procedure with no down-time. You will have a topical anesthetic applied for 30 minutes prior to the procedure. The procedure itself will only take 15 to 20 minutes.
Smooth, more youthful and beautiful results are instant! You may have some mild redness and swelling, but that typically resolves in 24 to 48 hours. Bruising is possible, but it also is temporary and resolves quickly, and it can be easily covered up with makeup. Enjoy your results for up to one year!
The most common side effects are injection site redness, mild swelling, pain/tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, or bruising. If you have a longer lasting nodule, the product can be dissolved.
